Lakers Hate is UGLY!!!!

You know you are doing the right things when people are hating on you!!! The Lakers are the only NBA team that people just say they HATE, and for no reason. How do you get joy from seeing the demise of someone else? I don't get it!!! The worst thing is people who don't even have a team of their own and say "I don't really have a team but I just want the Lakers to lose". It is different if you have allegiance to one of our rivals. But to have no passionate affiliation with another team and just want the Lakers to lose is ridiculous. I just know that if so many people "HATE" the Lakers why does everyone watch them when they are on TV? Sounds like jealously of a winner!

Last year when we (Yes WE!!!) lost in the Finals it was amazing how many phone calls, emails, and text messages I got from people who I didn't even know watched basketball and who had never cheered for the Celtics. Last year it was all these Boston fans who magically appeared when they got KG and Ray Allen. That number multiplied when they made the Finals.

This year it is even more incredible how wishy-washy people are. In the beginning of the the season they wanted Boston to repeat, then LeBron was gonna get it done, now they all say, "I been on the Orlando Magic". LOL!!! Yeah Right!!! I like Dwight Howard, LeBron, Tim Duncan, Yao, Chris Paul, Carmelo, and the Birdman just as much as everyone else, but my allegiance is clear. I understand the hate because everyone wants to live in L.A. or a be Laker; the most important franchise in the NBA who consistently provides "SHOWTIME".

ACT NOW!!! On behalf of Laker fans we are offering you a chance at redemption. It is time to first, ADMIT you have a problem with hating. Then realize you really wanna be a part of a big time winner. We are attaching extra room on the bandwagon for people to jump on. Face your fears and don't look before you leap, we will be there to catch you! You will even get high fives at the parade!

I understand that one post by me cannot change those people with deep rooted Hater issues. We love you people, fuel for our fire! But those who are 1st generation Haters this is your opportunity to stop the cycle before you pass that ugly trait on to your kids, family, and even pets!!!

Hahahahaha.....I have this same conversation with soooo many Lakers haters every year. They have no knowledge of the game itself, no loyalty to any team at all, but always have something to say about my team. SMH, the most common excuse I get is that they hate Kobe, and Kobe is the Lakers....how that may be true. I am not a big fan of Kobe's character myself, but his skills are undeniably the best in the league. I love the Lakers and have been a fan since 1985 and has cheered them on when they won and cried when they lost. Lakers are the bomb!!!! I love them...and the haters...well, they are welcome to be a part of the best AND GREATEST NBA FRANCHISE EVER.....

And thats not even throwing in his OFF court trouble. (He IS however, the best player in the league. I can readily admit it.) Derek Fisher is a cantankerous old coot who is a dirty cheap shot artist. Pau Gasol looks like a homeless vulture/human hybrid. Luke Walton is a talentless, horsetooth hack that got his spot on nepotism. Phil Jackson is a pretentious prick that believes his own hype. Etc, etc....you cant argue with results, and fair play to the Lakers for their successes, and to you fans for your support of them, but you CAN hate a bunch of smug, millionaire bastards that just seem to love rubbing winning in your face. I'd rather see Hitler lift the trophy than to see it in Kobes hands again. Its not even about the championship for him anymore; he just wants to prove to anyone who doubts his utter greatness that he is capable of winning without Shaq. What a douche. THATS why we hate the Lakers.

  you forgot 2 key ingredients: Sasha Vujacic and Jordan Farmar. and sure there are some die hard laker fans, but i would say that's maybe 15% of people who say they are fans. i live in oregon which is pretty much like a refugee camp for californians who are sick of all the people. you don't hear anything the WHOLE regular season, then once the playoffs start you see a bunch of people in purple and gold, talking about how long they've been fans for so long but couldn't name 4 players on the active roster. i've found a lot of them are more enamored with the winning rather than the path that it took to get there.

  G.W i couldnt have said it better. I too am a Laker /Kobe Fan and have to deal with ppl trumping the team. Honestly, I thought Lebron was gonna be in the Finals. Bc i just couldnt see Orlando beating the refs and Lebron James too.(but they did obviously) Im SOO glad to see Dwight Howard get his much earned respect but im still Lakers all day. (as long as they aren't playing the Atlanta Hawks) lol But ive heard so many times from haters saying i go for whatever team the Los Angeles Lakers are playing. And thats just a hater move im at the point to thinking there is nothing wrong with the Lakers or the fans it has to be something wrong with the hater. Half of them cant be genuine when telling why they dislike the Lakers and the other half dont even have a reason. I have never liked Boston Celtics always felt like wins and success should be earned and not given!! And lets not get on the Cleveland Cavalier fans who are now Orlando Magic fans. GTFOH! Weezy went hard on the Kobe song Ironic the best rapper alive repped the best NBA player on the face of the earth..oh and as far as haters are concerned hating females marry hating dudes and have hatin babies,,, look out, theres about to be another generation of HATERS LOL great post!

He is only working on his 10th championship atleast. And when the Los Angeles Lakers win the Finals, he will surpass Red Auerbach for the number one spot. I'm not gonna even stress the fact that you brought money into the equation or Hitler bc he in my opinion is the epitome of the word HATE.   To Rudegirl and GW, lets just get this one fact clear; because you don't like something, it doesn't make you a hater. I don't like the Ku Klux Klan. That doesn't mean I "hate on" the Klan. I don't like pulp in my orange juice. I'm not "hating" on pulp. The word "hate" is like the word "love;" everyone uses it waaaaay too much and think it means something it doesn't.

As I've stated, I don't dislike Kobe for his basketball talent, as he is admittedly the best player in the NBA, so there is no "hating on his swag."
  
  The Lakers represent everything that is wrong with society; a bunch of rich, pampered, spoiled, pricks with entitlement complexes, being rooted for by the upper crust of the rich, pampered, spoiled, entitled complex prick celebrity pantheon. Its almost like its EXPECTED that if you are a rich celebrity, that you HAVE to root for the Lakers. Its FASHIONABLE. They are the "Tickle Me Elmo" of basketball franchises. Ergo, the Lakers come off as the ULTIMATE bandwagon team with the ULTIMATE snobby, 90210, fair weather fans. Eagles fans will stab you in the streets if you talk bad about the birds, even in a losing season. Raiders fans haven't won since John Madden weighed 130 pounds, but will beat you up IN THE STANDS if you disrespect their team (not saying these are GOOD things by the way, but at least it shows some loyalty.) Lakers fans can't be bothered with such trivialities as they are on their way to a photo shoot, or white party or yoga class. The Lakers are the NBA equivalent of the 90s Cowboys; a team that it was the "IN THING" to cheer for.

  Why all the references to the socio-economic status of the Laker players? They are part of the best NBA franchise so there is an expectation to win and win every year. Wat does how much money they make or don't make have to do with any of this conversation? All players in the league are well compensated and all STARS cry for calls.

  socio-ecomonic status plays a part. If I don't tip at TGIFridays, people are going to be like, "cheap bastard," and leave it at that. If A-Rod doesn't tip, it'll be on TMZ the next day and some news source will come up with some clever A-"something" moniker to reflect his cheapness. It will be discussed on ESPN and on the Daily News cover. People expect more from the rich and famous (I'm sure youre well aware) and therefore the tolerance level for shenanigans from the wealthy is exponentially lower. With that spotlight comes a magnifying glass. Its part and parcel of the deal. SO, with all that said, the Lakers carry themselves like a bunch of di*ks, and because they are being so well paid to play a game, while the average Johnny Punchclock is making $12 an hour in a textile factory, it comes across as arrogant and disrespectful. THATS why I keep mentioning status. A little grace and humility goes a LONG way in endearing fans. Lakers fans don't care about any of that shite because theyre mostly rich, a-holes themselves, or want to be. The Lakers are the team of the Haves, and we're all just the Have-Nots.
  
  I was just being facetious about the swag thing. I know what it means, I just HATE that word....lmao. Its one of those overused ebonics words that we use, like "ma" before it and "shawty." (and "bling," before white folks got a hold of it.)
  
  And again, I don't feel I'm "hating" just because I don't like them. "hating" to me is when I have some nice sneakers or something on, and you like them, yet you talk bad about them to make me feel bad about them or try to like scuff them or something just for no other reason except that youre mad that I have them. Hating would be denying the fact that Kobe is the best, despite all the evidence being to the contrary. I just don't like the Lakers, and ESPECIALLY Kobe Bean. Just a preference. I can't stand the Giants either. I'm an Eagles fan. Does that make me a Giants hater or just not a fan?

People always want to tear you down when you're on top. Plus, people outside of Southern California have a disdain for LA. Where would everyone be without LA? They'd be watching PBS and cable access. The world should thank LA for being the entertainment capital of the world.

Wildly successful, but a phony-ass douchebag in the end.

On top of that, if I were arrested with blood on my shirt the night that someone accused me of rape, I'd be in jail.

I respect the Lakers, no doubt about it. I have no reason to "hate" on them. The success of Kobe Bryant and the Lakers is great for the NBA. However, I will never, nor do I desire to, become a Lakers fan. (Warriors are my team.) There's a reason why millions of people dislike them: the way that they come off is arrogant and undeserving. People don't want to root for that.
