One of the biggest priorities for Indiana football was securing more depth and talent on the defensive line during the spring transfer cycle.

Help could be on the way from a former top-75 overall prospect. On Wednesday night, it was reported byESPN’s Pete Thamel that former Alabama defensive lineman Khurtiss Perry would be visiting Indiana this weekend for an official visit.

Perry appeared in just one game last year and redshirted during the 2022 season.

The 6-foot-2 and 265-pound lineman was a four-star prospect out of high school and rated as the No. 65 overall player in the 2022 class and the No. 11 overall defensive lineman in the class.

From Pike (Al.), Perry totaled 76 tackles, 22 sacks and 30 quarterback hurries as a senior.

Coming out of high school, Perry picked Alabama over other programs including Clemson, Texas, UCF and Auburn.

Indiana football lost Philip Blidi, LeDarrius Cox, Patrick Lucas Jr and Nick James to the transfer portal following the 2023 season.

Earlier this week, Indiana landed a commitment from James Madison transfer defensive lineman Tyrique Tucker.
