Purdue wide receiver Deion Burks has entered the transfer portal and has the attention of several top schools, including Auburn.
According to On3, Auburn is one of several teams that have reached out to Burks to express interest and extend an offer. The report from On3 says that Auburn, Texas, Miami, USC, Utah, Washington, and Oregon all have offered the dynamic wide receiver.
Burks recorded 47 catches for 629 yards and seven scores this season.
Unsurprisingly, Auburn appears to be pursuing several wide receivers in the portal. Earlier Monday, Georgia State wide receiver Robert Lewis posted on X that he was offered by Auburn. Auburn's batch of transfer wide receivers from this past offseason, Nick Mardner, Shane Hooks, and Jyaire Shorter, all ran out of eligibility. Wide receiver Omari Kelly also posted last week that he intends to enter the transfer portal.
The dates for the first window of the transfer portal are December 4, 2023, through January 2, 2024. It's expected for Auburn as well as the rest of college football see a ton of names enter the portal in the coming weeks. Auburn had 20 players transfer out in 2023.
