Penn State football’s longest reigning Class of 2025 commit has an offer from an SEC school.

Tuesday evening, four-star RB commit KiAndrea Barker, who’s been committed to Penn State for more than a year, posted to X (formerly Twitter) that he’s been offered by Arkansas

This makes sense for a number of reasons.

First off, despite being committed, Barker has been fielding offers from other schools. Since announcing his commitment last April, Barker’s received offers from Auburn, Colorado, Duke, Houston, Oregon, TCU, UCF, USC and Wisconsin. There’s also the fact that Barker grew up and Arkansas and played his first two seasons for Beebe High School in the state. From there, he transferred to The Woodlands School in Houston Texas and will be playing his final season at Miami Central High School in Florida, where he’ll team with another Penn State commit, QB Bekkem Kritza.

Nittany Sports Now spoke exclusively with Barker upon announcing his commitment.

“They showed me love,” Barker told NSN, “and then they gave me my first big offer when I was in my freshman year and kept a mutual relationship ever since then.”

“And from having the visit there and showing us the love that they showed us, it felt like it was the right thing to do.”

RB greats such as Franco Harris, Curt Warner and Larry Johnson made their marks on Happy Valley.

Today, Nick Singleton and Kaytron Allen are one of, if not the top rushing duo in college football.

This lineage was one of the main things that inspired Barker to pick Penn State. His bond with coach James Franklin and his staff also played a big part.

It remains to be seen if he’ll remain committed until signing day in December.
