Derrick White just had the game of a lifetime after the Boston Celtics won Game 4 against the Miami Heat. In light of his insane playoff explosion, the former San Antonio Spurs star delivered an inspiring message for young athletes hoping to become professional hoopers.
In Game 4 of their first round series, the Celtics got the 102-88 win over a Miami team without Jimmy Butler. Derrick White put on a monster performance by tallying 38 points on 57 percent shooting from the field, four rebounds, and three assists. All-Star forward Jayson Tatum posted a double-double of 20 points and 11 rebounds, while Jaylen Brown added 17 points of his own.
The Heat, on the other hand, had Bam Adebayo led them with 25 points, 17 boards, and five assists. Tyler Herro dropped 19 points and four assists, while Caleb Martin finished the game with 18 points and five rebounds. However, Miami’s 27 percent success rate from deep failed them, causing Boston to go home with the dub.
This means that the Celtics only need one more win to advance to the next round. Miami, meanwhile, has to win three straight games against a superior Boston team if they want their season to continue.

After the game, White spoke to the media and shared how his impressive game went down. He also dropped an inspiring message for young hoopers, as seen in a video shared by Noa Dalzell on X:

After spending four and a half years playing for the Spurs, White has leveled up his game during his time in Boston. Throughout 73 games as a starter this season, the shooting guard averaged 15.2 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 5.2 assists per contest.
With one more win needed to close out the series, expect White and the Celtics to get the dub in front of their fans. After that potential outcome, they may face either the Cleveland Cavaliers or Orlando Magic in the next round.
