The Jacksonville Jaguars have reportedly landed wide receiver Calvin Ridley in a trade with the Atlanta Falcons. Ridley is currently serving an indefinite suspension that will last at least through the 2022 season, a punishment given for betting on games during the 2021 campaign.
There are a host of conditions attached to the deal, which was first reported by Mia O'Brien.

It stays as a 4 if Calvin Ridley is on the roster.
It goes to a 3 if Ridley reaches certain incentives.
And it becomes a 2 if the Jaguars sign Ridley to a contract extension. https://t.co/e6yoxa05fh
Ridley took to Twitter to post in a seemingly celebratory mood following the report of the move.

One of Ridley's teammates since 2021 -- Cordarrelle Patterson -- also posted to Twitter soon after the news was reported. His reaction wasn't quite as chipper though.

An Alabama product, Ridley was selected by the Falcons as the 26th overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. After a pair of solid seasons with 60-plus catches, 800-plus receiving yards, and a combined 17 touchdowns to start his career (while sharing the field with seven-time Pro Bowler Julio Jones), the 2020 campaign was a full breakout for Ridley.
In 15 games that year, the now-27-year-old posted career highs in targets (143), receptions (90), and receiving yards (1,374), while racking up nine scores through the air as well. Ridley played in just five contests last season before stepping away for the rest of the year to focus on his mental health.
