The Steelers will officially have a new-look inside linebacker group in 2023. General manager Omar Khan made yet another signing and cut in what has been a little bit of an uncharacteristic free agency for Pittsburgh.

Cutting Jack may be a little bit of a surprise to some following his 104-tackle season in 2022, but the move does save the Steelers $8 million against the cap.
Roberts is coming off of the best season of his career as well with a career-high 107 tackles and 4.5 sacks.
The 28-year-old also brings valuable experience to Pittsburgh's new and improved linebacker group. Roberts won Super Bowl LI and LIII with the Patriots after being a sixth-round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft.
The Steelers needed an overhaul at the position following the 2022 season, and they have certainly done that.
With Roberts and LB Cole Holcomb, whom Pittsburgh agreed to sign to a three-year deal earlier this week, now set to start, the team is even more flexible heading into the 2023 NFL Draft, where it may just add to the room again.
