AC Milan face Genoa on Sunday evening, and a report has emerged about the conditions of several of the Rossoneri’s key players, with a couple of players close to returning to the matchday squad.

Ahead of Sunday’s fixture, Milan players have returned to training after a light session on Thursday, and MilanNews have provided some updates regarding some important players who have been struggling.

The report starts with some good news, and that is that Pierre Kalulu has returned to group training, and he has been doing so since the start of the week – the Frenchman has struggled with a knee issue for the majority of the season, and the news of his return, if he can stay injury free, could alter the Rossoneri’s mercato plans.

Another piece of good news is that Luka Jovic has returned to group training, albeit for a half session, this afternoon. He was still on a personalised plan, but the early signs may suggest that he could feature in some way on Sunday.

There is no good news regarding Simon Kjaer, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Mike Maignan, though. The trio attended training today, but all underwent personalised training and will not feature on Sunday against the Grifone.
